Since 2016, MRX Africa has been the continent's most important gathering for maintenance, reliability, and asset management professionals. This is the story behind the conference.
MRX Africa exists to do three things: share knowledge that improves how African industry maintains its assets, build the professional community that sustains that knowledge, and create the forum where Africa's reliability future gets debated, decided, and acted upon.
TMI Africa is Africa's leading maintenance and reliability training organisation, founded in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2015 by Jonathan David — a former Shell engineer with certifications including CMRP, CRL, CSSBB, and Certified Management Consultant.
Since its founding, TMI Africa has trained over 3,300 maintenance and reliability professionals across Nigeria, Ghana, East Africa, the Middle East, and North America — with documented savings of over $11 million in asset performance improvement.
TMI Africa's programmes span Reliability Engineering, Lubrication Management, Asset Management (ISO 55000), CMRP/CRL certification preparation, and specialist CAT equipment training through its CAT Specialist Programme at the Victoria Island Lagos workshop.
ASMRA is the professional body dedicated to the advancement of maintenance, reliability, and asset management practice across the African continent. As co-organiser of MRX Africa 2026, ASMRA brings the institutional reach, professional credibility, and pan-African membership base that elevates this conference beyond a single organisation's event.
ASMRA membership provides engineers and organisations with access to Africa's growing MRO knowledge community, CPD credits, conference discounts, and a professional directory that spans the continent.
The professional body for maintenance, reliability, and asset management in Africa. Co-organiser of MRX Africa 2026.
