Everything you need to know about registration, the programme, call for papers, visa, payments, and attending MRX Africa 2026.

🎫 Registration & Tickets

What is included in the standard delegate pass?

Every delegate pass (Super Early Bird, Early Bird, Regular) includes: 3-day full conference access to all plenary sessions and all 9 technical tracks, conference materials and delegate bag, 3 networking lunches, exhibition floor access, and the complete digital proceedings and session recordings. Early Bird and Regular passes also include the Day 1 cocktail networking reception.

What does the VIP pass include that others don't?

The VIP pass (₦720,000 / $450) adds: priority front-row seating at all plenary sessions, access to the Day 2 VIP Gala Dinner, a 1-year ASMRA membership (Individual), private meet & greet with keynote speakers, pre-conference workshop access, a personalised certificate of participation, print proceedings in addition to digital, and your name listed in the official conference programme.

Can I attend on just one day?

Current passes are for the full 3-day conference. Single-day passes are not available for MRX Africa 2026. However, all delegates receive the complete digital proceedings and session recordings after the conference — so even if you can only attend 1 or 2 days in person, you have access to everything presented.

How do group discounts work?

Groups of 5–9 delegates receive 15% off the total registration fee. Groups of 10 or more receive 20% off. Group bookings are handled via a single invoice and payment — contact programs@tmiafrica.org with your team size, ticket type preference, and we'll send a formal proposal within 24 hours.

Can I transfer my registration to a colleague?

Yes — delegate substitutions are free and can be made at any time before the conference. Simply email programs@tmiafrica.org with the original registrant's name and the substitute delegate's full details.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations made 30 or more days before the conference (before 19 October 2026) receive a full refund minus a ₦5,000 / $5 administration fee. Cancellations made 15–29 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of the conference are non-refundable, but the delegate pass can be transferred to a colleague at no charge. Email programs@tmiafrica.org for all cancellation requests.

How do I get my CPD certificate?

CPD certificates are issued digitally to all delegates within 5 working days of the conference close. The certificate documents the number of structured CPD hours earned across the 3 days, applicable to CMRP recertification, CRL renewal, and most professional body CPD requirements. Your certificate is sent to the email address used during registration.

How do I get a letter justifying the cost to my employer?

Email programs@tmiafrica.org and we'll send you a one-page justification letter pre-written on TMI Africa headed paper — covering the business case, CPD value, and programme content. You can forward it directly to your line manager or training department. Most delegates get approval within days.

📄 Call for Papers & Speakers

When is the abstract submission deadline?

Abstract submissions open 15 May 2026 and close on 30 July 2026. Acceptance notifications are sent by 20 August 2026. Full papers and presentation decks are due 15 September 2026. We strongly recommend submitting well before the deadline — abstracts received early receive more detailed feedback from the Programme Committee.

What makes a strong abstract?

The strongest abstracts clearly state: (1) the problem or question addressed, (2) the methodology or approach used, (3) the specific results or findings, and (4) why this matters for African industrial operations. Case studies with real data from African plants are particularly valued. 250–500 words. Up to 5 keywords. Contact learn@tmiafrica.org if you want feedback before submitting.

Do I need to pay to present?

All accepted presenters must register as delegates to attend and present. However, accepted speakers receive the discount code MRXPRESENT26 which gives 25% off the delegate registration fee — significantly reducing the cost. Some employers cover the full registration fee for presenters representing their organisation.

Can I present if my data is confidential?

Yes — many of our best presentations anonymise the plant name and specific production numbers while retaining the methodology and learnings that matter. The Programme Committee can advise on what level of detail is needed. Contact learn@tmiafrica.org to discuss how to frame your work appropriately before submitting.

What presentation formats are available?

Four formats: (1) Full technical paper with 25-minute presentation (published in proceedings), (2) Practitioner case study — 20-minute session with Q&A, (3) Workshop or half-day tutorial for hands-on content, (4) Poster presentation for research in progress. Indicate your preference in the submission form — the Programme Committee may suggest an alternative format if more appropriate.

💳 Payment & Invoicing

What payment methods are accepted?

Registration is processed via Selar. Accepted payment methods include: Nigerian bank transfer (Naira), debit/credit card (Naira and USD), and international card payments. For group bookings, we issue a formal invoice payable by bank transfer in Naira or USD.

Can I pay in USD?

Yes. USD pricing is available for international delegates. Use the USD tab on the registration or ticket pages to see dollar pricing. International card payments are accepted via Selar. For group bookings in USD, contact programs@tmiafrica.org for bank transfer details.

Can I get a formal tax invoice?

Yes. A formal invoice on Epsilon Reliability Solutions / TMI Africa letterhead can be issued for all registrations. This is particularly useful for delegates whose employers require a purchase order process. Email programs@tmiafrica.org with your registration details and company billing information.

✈️ Visa, Travel & Accommodation

Do I need a visa to enter Nigeria?

It depends on your nationality. Citizens of all 54 African Union member states are eligible for visa-on-arrival via the NIS portal. Citizens of other countries (UK, US, EU, India, etc.) require a standard Nigerian visa from their nearest embassy. Always verify current requirements at immigration.gov.ng before applying. See our full Visa & Travel page.

How do I get an invitation letter for my visa?

Register for the conference first, then email programs@tmiafrica.org with your: full name as it appears on your passport, passport number, nationality, and date of birth. We issue official invitation letters on TMI Africa / ASMRA letterhead within 3 working days.

Is a yellow fever vaccination required?

Yes — a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (the physical yellow card) is required to enter Nigeria and will be checked at immigration on arrival. Ensure you get vaccinated at least 10 days before travel and carry the original card (not a copy).

How do I get a discounted hotel room?

Contact Four Points by Sheraton Lagos directly — call +234 905-382-2225 or email reservations@fourpointslagos.com and mention MRX Africa 2026. The conference team has negotiated delegate accommodation rates for the conference period. Book early — rooms go quickly around the conference dates.
